যাদের ধর্ষণ করা হয়েছে তাদের ধর্ষণ করা হয়নি তাদের তুলনায় তুলনামূলকভাবে বেশি প্রজনন ট্র্যাক্ট সংক্রমণ রয়েছে।

 ধর্ষণের মাধ্যমে এইচআইভি সংক্রমণ হতে পারে। ধর্ষণের মাধ্যমে এইডস অর্জন মানুষের মনস্তাত্ত্বিক সমস্যায় ভুগতে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ করে তোলে।

 ধর্ষণের মাধ্যমে এইচআইভি অর্জনের ফলে এমন আচরণগুলি হতে পারে যা ড্রাগগুলি ইনজেকশনের ঝুঁকি তৈরি করে

Sexually transmitted infections

Those who have been raped have relatively more reproductive tract infections than those not been raped.HIV can be transmitted through rape. Acquiring AIDS through rape puts people risk of suffering psychological problems. Acquiring HIV through rape may lead to the in behaviors that create risk of injecting drugs. Acquiring sexually transmitted infections increases the risk of acquiring HIV. The belief that having sex with a virgin can cure HIV/AIDS exists in parts of Africa. This leads to the rape of girls and women. The claim that the myth drives either HIV infection or child sexual abuse in South Africa is disputed by researchers Rachel Jewkes and Helen Epstein.

যেহেতু যৌন সহিংসতা সমাজের সমস্ত অংশকে প্রভাবিত করে, তাই যৌন সহিংসতার প্রতিক্রিয়া ব্যাপক।

 প্রতিক্রিয়াগুলিকে শ্রেণিবদ্ধ করা যেতে পারে: ব্যক্তিগত দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি, স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রতিক্রিয়া, সম্প্রদায় ভিত্তিক প্রচেষ্টা

মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয়, কলেজ এবং কর্মক্ষেত্রের শিক্ষা কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে যৌন নির্যাতন প্রতিরোধ করা যেতে পারে 

 ভ্রাতৃ পুরুষদের জন্য কমপক্ষে একটি প্রোগ্রাম "টেকসই আচরণগত পরিবর্তন" তৈরি করেছিল।  ক্যাম্পাসে যৌন নির্যাতনের 

বিষয়ে প্রায় দুই তৃতীয়াংশ শিক্ষার্থী ধর্ষণের শিকার এবং জড়িতদের অর্ধেকেরও বেশি এক গবেষণায় যৌন নির্যাতনের অপরাধীদের 

জানার কথা বলেছে; দশজনের মধ্যে একজন ধর্ষণের শিকার জেনে এবং চারজনের মধ্যে একজন মদ্যপ-সুবিধাযুক্ত ধর্ষণের 

শিকার জেনে রিপোর্ট করেছেন।

 

Prevention

As sexual violence affects all parts of society, the response to sexual violence is comprehensive. The responses can be categorized as: individual approaches, health care responses, community-based efforts and actions to prevent other forms of sexual violence.

Sexual assault may be prevented by secondary school, college, and workplace education programs. At least one program for fraternity men produced "sustained behavioral change." With regard to campus sexual assault, nearly two thirds of students reported knowing victims of rape and over half reported knowing perpetrators of sexual assault in one study; one in ten reported knowing a victim of rape and nearly one in four reported knowing a victim of alcohol-facilitated rape.

 

যৌন নির্যাতন
যৌন নির্যাতনের ফেডারেল ফৌজদারী সংজ্ঞা সংজ্ঞা অন্তর্ভুক্ত:

    অপ্রাপ্তবয়স্ক বা ওয়ার্ডের যৌন নিগ্রহের সংজ্ঞা দেওয়া হয়েছে "12 থেকে 15 বছর বয়সের মধ্যে একজন 

ব্যক্তির সাথে জেনেশুনে যৌন ক্রিয়ায় জড়িয়ে পড়া 

 Sexual Abuse 


      The Federal Criminal Code definition of sexual abuse includes: 

      

Causing another person to engage in a sexual activity by threatening or placing that person in fear.
Engaging in a sexual act if that person is incapable of declining participation in, or communicating unwillingness to engage in that sexual act.

Abusive Sexual Contact is defined as "when no sexual penetration actually occurred but when the intentional touching�of the genitalia, anus, groin, breast, inner thigh, or buttocks of any person with an intent to abuse, humiliate, harass, degrade, or arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person occurs."

Sexual Abuse of a Minor or Ward is defined as "knowingly engaging in a sexual act with a person between the ages of 12 and 15 years. (For additional information on sexual crimes against children, see the chapter on child victims).
